Fee Schedule 2009-2010- Soccer Year

Important Fee Information
Fees charged by Metro Black Magic cover a complete year of quality soccer. The fees are used to pay for field rental and maintenance, league membership, 3 tournaments, indoor training, licenses, insurance, equipment, uniforms, referees, specialized training, and a wide variety of other necessities including 3 sessions of indoor winter league play. We realize the fee represents a high level of commitment; however our program is an exceptional value which consistently delivers the highest quality training and produces players and teams that compete at the highest levels.

All players pay the annual fee each year
For 2009-2010 all Club players will receive a complete package of new equipment including game jerseys, shorts, t-shirts and socks, and equipment bag.
U7-U10 Academy Training players will be issued shorts, tee-shirt, socks,l and carry sack.
Damaged or defective equipment will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and in most instances will be replaced at no additional charge.
Lost equipment or items damaged by negligence or misuse will be replaced at an additional fee.

Q WHAT IS MAPLE?
A MAPLE is the Massachusetts Premier League. Maple games are played on Sunday afternoons. As such the games do not typically conflict with town soccer programs.

Q WHEN/WHERE IS PRACTICE?
A Our club is based in Millis at the OAK GROVE Field. Practices have always been Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Practices generally run 1 ½ hours.

Q WHAT ABOUT POSITIONS AND PLAYING TIME?
A Coaches will decide who plays where in every case. There are no guarantees to any player with respect to who starts. All players are expected to give the maximum and will be trained so that they can step into almost any role (GK and Libero being exceptions). Starting does not necessarily mean one is the best and not starting does not mean someone else is better. Starting means that for this match this situation, this player is best suited to meet the needs of the team. Positions may vary during the game as well as from game to game. Rosters may be up to18 players. Playing time in league matches is in direct proportion to performance. Everyone will play however, time may be limited for some, especially in games where the outcome is critical to team placement in division standings, for promotion / relegation, or State Cup Competition.

Q WHAT ABOUT TOURNAMENTS?
A Our teams go to tournaments as far away as Las Vegas and as close as your town. Typically each team will go to 3 tournaments a year to prepare for league play and 1 tournament sponsored by the MAPLE or Mass Youth Soccer like the State Cup. Typical dates for tournaments are Labor Day, Columbus Day, late March (before spring season begins) and Memorial Day. State and MAPLE tournaments can run concurrent with the regular season or after Memorial Day.

Q WHAT ABOUT WINTER TRAINING?
A Our club trains at the John Smith Soccer Center in Milford over the winter. We will maintain a schedule over the winter that can include 6 v 6 up to 10 v 10 games, futsal, fitness/conditioning, goalkeeper and soccer training. Our winter program will begin in late December and last until the first match of the spring season in April. Training will rotate between Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. Exact scheduling will be provided well in advance. Players are expected to prioritize these activities as they are critical to our preparation for spring play.

Q WHERE IS EVERYBODY FROM?
A Our 07-08 club had players from Harvard, Hopedale, Holliston, Medfield, Sherborn, Bellingham, Hopkinton, Westwood, Medway, Millis, Dover, Norfolk, Sutton, Upton, Wrentham, Milford, Brookline, Natick, and Franklin.
